How to Search For Used Copiers

There are numerous copiers available in the market these days.  You can take your pick from amongst a large number of the best documentation machines money can buy.  However, there is a point here.  Copiers can be a bit expensive, especially those that are meant for business purposes, and have a capacity of documenting large volumes of copies or prints.  This is one of the reasons why quite a number of people prefer used copiers over newer ones.

The problem is how do you search for used copiers and not just any used copiers, but good used copiers that won't give you any trouble.

The Internet Search
In a world where the internet is fast emerging as the foundation for a global marketplace; it's very easy to search for used copiers on the internet.  Just type in your query in any search engine and you will get a whole list of suppliers who deal in used copiers.  It's important that you get in touch with these people and see what they have on offer.  Most of the information is available on the website of these dealers.  However, when choosing used copiers, you would do well to check them out in person.  You can't be too careful about used copiers.

Through References
This is one of the better ways of searching for used copiers.  Ask around your business counterparts about the availability of used copiers.  They might be able to guide you towards the perfect dealer who can offer you the best used copiers.  Through this method of search, you are assured of the fact that you are getting a good used copier as the seller has an honest reputation and is recognized for his used copier services.

Through Newspapers and Magazines

Another great way of searching for used copiers is through newspapers and magazines.  There are quite a number of magazines available these days that concentrate solely on the developments happening in the field of documentation.  This essentially means that such magazines carry ads that inform the customers of the availability of a variety of used copiers.  All you need to do is get in touch with the seller and take your pick from the copiers they have to offer.

Hewlett Packard Printers

Hewlett Packard is one the best providers of company products for reasonable prices.  Hewlett Packard is the premier worldwide technology solutions provider to businesses, consumers and institutions.
Hewlett-Packard was one of the first companies to produce a laser printer for PCs and most software products that include drivers for HP printers.  The drivers control the printers through a language called PCL (printer control language).  Other makers of laser printers design their printers so that they, too, understand PCL, making them able to emulate HP printers.  In this way, their printers are HP-compatible and are thus automatically supported by many software products.

No non-HP printer, however, is 100 percent HP-compatible.  HP is the provider of all types of printers such as color laser printers, laser Printers, inkjet printers, multifunction printers, plotters, Mac Printers, refurbished printers, portable printers, fax machines and copiers.

HP also provides printers through which you can create photos. They are basic inkjet printers, photo printers, all-in-ones printer, portable photo printers and professional-quality printers.
HP also provides repair services for laser printer, printer cartridges, refurbished printers and other parts.  Laser Printer Repair 911 provides corporations, small businesses and individuals with certified on site, in home and carry in printer repair services and upgraded printer parts.

Workings Of Laser Printers

Laser Printers are commonly used printers that are known for its rapid printing abilities.  The other marked feature of a laser printer is the high quality text and graphics printing.  It works basically on the principle of the xerographic printing process.  However, it is different from the analog photocopying machines in which the image produced is the result of direct scan of a laser beam on the photoreceptor of the printer.

Using a laser printer has a number of advantages over any other types of printers available. The speed of a laser printer varies from one model to another as it depends on a number of factors like the graphic intensity required in processing the job and others.  The latest models of laser printers can print more than 200 single monochrome pages in one minute, which is more than 12 thousand pages in an hour!  The color laser printers are relatively slower, but even they can print at more than 100 pages per minute.  The high speed laser printers are generally used for printing of mass mailings like utility or credit card bills etc.

The cost incurred in using the laser printing technology is dependent on more than one feature such as the cost of the toner, paper, once in a while replacement of the drum, and change required in other consumable parts of the printer like paper feed system rollers, the transfer assembly and the fuser assembly.  Laser printers having drums made of soft plastic can be costlier in the long run than one can comprehend; its high overall cost becomes apparent only when the printer requires a drum replacement.

Another feature in the family of laser printers is the duplexing model.  This allows printing on both sides of a paper without the need to remove the paper at all.  This technology can cut paper cost directly into half and also lessen the filling volumes.  Formerly, the duplexing technology was available only on the high-end laser printers.  However, now they can be seen on a number of mid-range office laser printers. Although, the duplexing technology can reduce the printing speed to some extent as the paper path length increases.

The dot-matrix and inkjet printers take the incoming spooled data for the printer and directly print that on the paper making it a slow process which can stop as soon as the printer is waiting for more data.  On the other hand, a laser printer cannot work this way, the reason being the large amount of data required to output to the printer in a continuous fashion.  The printer cannot wait for data arrival and if that happens, there can be gaps and misalignment on the page.

To take care of the above problem, a printer buffer is used.  The data is built up and kept in the large printer buffer that is generally present in the printer.  This data bank is large enough to account for every single dot that can be printed on a page.  However, this requirement of storing the dots in the memory before printing can begin which has limited the printing capability of laser printers to small size like 8.5x11 or 8.5x14.  Most laser printer cannot print long banners as there is no memory to hold that amount of data.

The printing takes place in seven steps. A Raster Image Processor scans the entire page line by line and stores a bitmap of the page in the raster memory. The drum is then charged negatively and the bitmap is written on the photosensitive drum using a laser beam whose functionality is dependent on the bitmap image. The charged toner particles are charged negatively and wherever the laser has not discharged the drum, the charges will repel and printing won`t take place, hence creating the required print out. The toner contains a plastic powder that is attracted to the parts where the laser beam hit and in the end the plastic powder is fused at 200 degree Celsius to bond the ink with the paper.

How to Select the Best Laser Printer

Before determining the best laser printer that is suitable for your needs, the first thing you should do is understand the basic knowledge about the printers.

Printers have two ways to produce a picture; an inkjet printer produces a picture by spraying very small dots of ink onto the paper while a laser printing device produces a picture by throwing powdered ink to paper which is then electrically charged to drum for the image to transfer to.  If you have needs to print more photos or graphics and less text-based documents, you might be better off to buy an inkjet printer.  If you have needs to print many text-based documents, a laser printer will be the best choice for you.

Choosing the right device for printing is very important because if you frequently print many documents then if you use an inkjet printer, you will spend more money for the ink cartridges over time then the expense of laser toner cartridges over the lifetime of a laser printer.

Monochrome or Color Laser Printer
You can find a black and white laser printing device for less than $200.  These types are usually cost-effective plus cheaper to maintain as compared to inkjet printers.   A color laser printer is significantly more high-priced, and it is right here that you can be teased to select an inkjet printer as an alternative.  Remember though, that the first investment pertaining to color toner cartridges enhances the upfront price of a color laser printer, yet color printing is going to definitely cost a lot less per page than inkjet printers.  Although some color laser printers can handle the printing of photographs, the picture quality depending on the quality of the laser printer will sometimes be substantially worse than some inkjet printers.  That is why if you have a strong intention to print photos, it is recommended that you select an inkjet printer usually.

Print Quality
A laser printing device can yield crisp and razor-sharp text output associated with simple graphics (grayscale) yet it doesn't mean you need to neglect resolution specifications entirely.  Printer resolution is usually assessed in dots per inch.  If you have a printer which has a higher resolution then it will result in a sharper and crisper outcome printed job.  That is why it is worth taking into consideration if you will be printing graphics.  Monochrome/grayscale laser printing devices have a resolution at 1200 by 1200 or 600 by 600; however these scales are usually more than enough regarding printing text and graphics.  The resolution of a Color laser printing device is often as high as 2400 by 1200, that increases the quality of the colour print substantially.

Printer Memory
Memory space decides how fast your printing device prints plus the quality of the prints it creates. Printing devices with laser technology save documents within memory.  More memory enables you to print a higher resolution at quicker speeds.  If you deliver a high-resolution to your printing device, yet do not have the memory to take care of it, the printer instantly sets the work's station resolution to check the actual printer's capabilities.

Memory space upgrades are relatively affordable; therefore if you select a cheaper laser printing device along with less memory, search for one which can allow memory space upgrades, particularly important if you do network the printer with several users in your workplace.  The majority of expensive laser printing devices, is equipped with at least 64MB of memory space.  If you are purchasing for a large business with many print jobs, select a laser printer which can be upgraded to at least 128MB, if not more.  Once again, if velocity is the key element, take into consideration to buy the model with additional memory space.

Types of Fax Machines

Fax machines are devices that copy data that is wired.  It also acts as a duplicator that is used to copy the incoming data onto paper.  Fax machines are very important in this modern and fast paced life where everything is depended upon time.  This saves time, as it is an electronic device and transmits data at a very fast speed.

There are a variety of fax machines available in the market; depending upon the need and necessity of the user, which can be purchased.  In the olden days thermal fax machines were used, which used thermal papers.  This was not a very good method followed, as they were hard to read and faded away quite soon.  That was in the past!  Nowadays, plain paper is used to print the fax data.  The most common types of fax machines used are laser and inkjet fax machines.

Inkjet fax machines produce good quality prints of faxes, though the speed is slower when compared to the laser type.  They also produce prints at a much lower cost, as the consumables are not as costly as a laser printer;  but if the number of faxes received per day is more than 30, then the slow speed could be annoying, and so it is not advised in places where more faxes are expected to come in.  As they tend to get mechanical problems in the long run, they are not advised in heavy faxing and fax receiving areas.

Laser printers are fit for an office environment and places where a high flow of incoming and outgoing faxes are expected.  These are heavy duty machines and do a good job typing out the matter neatly and clearly.  They are also very fast and so there is no need to wait in queue to send or receive a fax!  The Laser fax machines use a light emitting diode or an LED, which is very reliable and is definitely long lasting.  They are however, expensive when compared to the inkjet and thermal, but looking at the performance, they are definitely worth the cost.  The quality of the images and letters produced is also high.

Thermal transfer fax machine is the third type that uses heat to transmit the ink from a ribbon in the machine, onto the plain paper.  They are reliable and also inexpensive, but the quality is not as good as the others.  Also the whole operation is a noisy affair.  This is mostly used in home-office set ups than in big business and office set ups.

The Fax machine is quite a useful device and can be expensive as well.  It is therefore necessary to take care of it well, always.  Also, before buying the machine, it is necessary to thoroughly analysis  what is the need and type of fax machine to be bought, in order to buy the effective and correct performance machine.

Selling Points For a Copier

Copier sales might be seeing a slight decrease because a lot of businesses today are opting to not buy a copier and to simply purchase copies from a store whenever they need them, but is this really the more efficient option?  For businesses that need to make lots of quality copies on a daily basis, it's a wiser choice to purchase a quality copier for themselves.

Owning your own copier will save you time and time is money.  Sometimes you need a copy in 5 minutes, and don't have the time to send somebody to a store.  The person has to drive to the store, wait for service, wait to have copies made, carry the copies to their car, and drive back.  By owning your own copier, you could reduce this process to a 30 second walk to and from the copier, and copies that are made immediately.  You can save your employees a lot of time that can be spent efficiently rather than wasted.

Owning a copier for your business will also save you money.  Sure, buying a copier is a lot more money than making copies a few times, but you're likely making copies more than a few times a day, week, or month.  A copier is an investment that will pay for itself over time.  Every copy you make on your new copier represents money that you're saving to merit your purchase.  Not to mention the gas money you won't have to spend driving to and from the printing services store.

Printing service stores are great for individuals who make a few copies a year, but copier sales should still be strong among companies who require copiers daily, or even weekly.

Copier Sales - Choosing the Right Product

When it comes to copier sales, the most important decision that you are going to make involves which type of machine you are interested in purchasing.  Because of its function inside of the office, you want to make sure that you are getting the right equipment for the right price and are using it to its maximum potential.  If there are extra features, you want to make sure that you are utilizing them.  Before making a purchase, consider what type of machine will work best for you.

What Do You Need?
Before thinking about copier sales, decide what you are planning to do with this office addition.  Will it be used on a daily basis or just for larger projects?  Do you need items in color or just black and white? How often are you going to be stapling or hole punching the papers coming out?  Decide how often you are going to use it, and what features it needs to come equipped with.  Following this decision, you can narrow down the choices.

Research the Options
When it comes to copier sales, you want to be an informed buyer.  Look into specific brands that have durable products with the features that you plan to use the most.  If prices are the same, you want to purchase the machine with a better reputation and possibly a warranty that can give you piece of mind. The more information you have on the different choices available to you, the more likely it will be that you find the right fit for your personal or business needs.

New or Refurbished
When looking into copier sales, one of the best ways to save money is purchasing refurbished items. These usually have a full warranty, a low count, and have been inspected for proper functioning by the manufacturer or reseller.  While they are not new, they still work just as well and sell for a fraction of the price.  Because of the warranty, there is no worry that it won't last or problems will cause it to break prematurely.

Shopping for the Product
Now that you know what you need, it is time to investigate the options.  See what is available and begin to determine what price range you are interested in.  Remember what it will be used for and what you need to accomplish with it.  Don't rush into a decision, because this type of office essential will be used for a long time, you will want to choose wisely.

When choosing a company that specializes in copier sales, don't just look at the merchandise. You also need to look into the procedures for service, what type of solutions are offered in the case of problems, and how you would be able to contact someone in case of an issue.  Also, think about how delivery is going to take place.  Make sure all of your questions are answered before you make the purchase. Things will run more smoothly with the right piece of equipment saving you time and energy in putting together all of the paperwork your office needs.

Which Printer? Right Technology, Right Choice

Whether you are responsible for a small home-based business, or a large company with many departments and workgroups, there are continuous choices to be made on the procurement of office equipment.  Not least amongst these, is the selection of the appropriate printer technology for your business needs?  Here in outline are the various technologies and their appropriate environment.

Personal Ink-Jets
Useful for one individual or a workgroup with a minimal color printing needs, a low-cost personal ink-jet will be the best choice.  Personal inkjet printers offer a low initial cost, plus the flexibility to print on a variety of media, such as promotional materials.

Business Ink-Jets
In a bigger business environment, or one where color output is a major requirement, the workload is likely to be too great for a personal inkjet printer.  Thus a unit designed specifically for business will fit the bill, offering a lower cost per page.  Many business inkjets employ ink-saving technology and modular cartridges, which avoid the need to change the color when you change the black and white cartridges, for example.

Laser Printers
Large companies demand more output of all kinds. Perhaps also the demand for color output on standard-size paper may be addressed with a laser printer

Laser printers have invariably offered monochrome output in the past, but more and more color-capable lasers are coming onto the market. For organizations with a heavy black-only output though, they still offer the lowest cost of monochrome printing, as opposed to ink-jets which offer a lower cost for color output.  Even so, the picture is changing, and there are some surprisingly low-cost color lasers available today.

Large or Wide Format Printers
Design work or over-size documents for displays require a special kind of printer - a large format printer capable of printing on very large paper (or other media) sheets.  Factors to consider here are quality of output, color capability, speed, networking capability and additional functions such as scanning and copying.

Photo Printers
A photo printer is essentially a personal color ink-jet with a higher capability for printing on special photo paper.  Naturally useful in the home, such printers have their use in the business environment - for example when there is a need to include quality photos in presentation packs for marketing purposes, or for use in training materials.

Business Color or Full Color?
For businesses requiring mission-critical exact color reproduction (such as in the preparation of color proofs, for example), then it is important to differentiate between machine which offer Black and Business Color as opposed to the higher quality Full Color specification.

Multifunction Printers or MFPs
The Multifunctional, All-in-One device combines print, copier, scanner and fax capability in a single machine. These systems are surprisingly compact and affordable.  Indeed some MFPs start at prices below $300.  However, in this category of printers, some hefty and powerful machines are available for Print for Pay and major corporate use, with a vast array of bolt-on systems for folding, stapling and collating documents.

Impact Printers
Rarer these days, but it is still possible to buy dot-matrix and even daisywheel devices for specialist impact applications, for example for such as multiple-copy form printing.  Such printers tend to be more expensive, robust and bulky than the ink-jets and laser printers in more common use.  Impact printers by definition are also much noisier in use.

Other factors - Stand-alone or Networked?
If you plan to share the printer in a workgroup on your office network, then network-ready functionality must be specified.

Speed of Operation
Businesses with a heavy output, or with a plan to share the printer among several users, a faster printer is important - and one that will avoid forcing staff to wait for printouts to get through the queue.  Any shared printer is also likely to be networked so the network speed in the office is also a factor

Cost Considerations
In additional to the initial purchase cost, there is of course the cost of consumables such as ink cartridges and toner which also require budgeting.  The twin costs of initial purchase (or lease) plus consumables and maintenance are defined as the Total Cost of Ownership, and requires a careful projection of costs over the life-cycle of the equipment.

Support and Supplier Backup
All printers come with a basic warranty or guarantee that entitles the purchaser up to one year return to base servicing and repairs.  It is wise and useful to arrange additional cover and a service plan to suit the capacity and work-expectations of the printer.

Green Credentials
Protecting the environment is a crucial issue these days, and taking advice whilst looking for the most energy-efficient options makes sound business sense.  Doing this should also save money in terms of running costs at least.

Do-It-Yourself! Repair Anything and Feel Good About It

I never really had a lot of money, so when things broke I found ways of fixing them myself.  My clutch went out in my transmission so I got the manual and took a stab at it.  My VHS drive belt broke, so I found the belt and installed it myself.  There have been so many times that things like this have happened.  I wouldn't have enough room on this site to write about them.  I am what you call a Do-It-Yourselfer or DIYER for short.  And I'm not the only one.  I know you're out there.  Fixing things, making things work, a Jack of all trades.

By trade I repair office equipment.  I have associates that get mad at me when I help those who desire to be a DIYER on office equipment and I asked them, "why?"  They told me that the DIYER is taking money away from them.  I said that the amount of persons that will Do-It-Themselves, is so small that it's not enough to worry about.  I am not sure how many people in the World are Do-It Yourself types.  Those that try to repair things on their own, but I would say about 10% of all people fall into that category.

I respect people that do it.  Therefore I have this blog.  Sure I would love to sell you Toner or Parts, but I also get a kick out of helping a fellow DIYER.  Believe me there are plenty of them that have helped me. Disclaimer: I do know my limits and I think that is important because sometimes it can cost more when you mess with something that is over your head.

Other people will actually try and stop you and discourage you.  I guess that is human nature.  Here's a real example:  About 15 years ago for whatever reason I wanted to make my own Dill Pickles.  I can't believe how many people told me that I couldn't do it!  They told me that it would get me sick or I would kill somebody.  My Mom and my Wife are the two that encouraged me.  In fact my Mom gave me the recipe for bread and butter pickles.  I did make the pickles and they turned out fantastic. I grew the cucumbers and the fresh dill and canned about 50 jars of Dill Pickles and gave them out for Christmas!

FYI, I named them "Bill's Dills"

To conclude this blog I ask the question,

What drives people to be "Do-It Yourself People?"
  • ·         Try and save money
  • ·         Because someone told them they couldn't (many times this is why I did it)
  • ·         The challenge of it.

Whatever it is my hat is off to you.  You have my respect.  I am available to you if you have a copier, fax machine or printer that you need some direction or tips on.  Just post a comment and be sure to let me know if you don't want me to post your question because I review all comments before they go live.

Remember, if someone says..."You Can't Fix That!" Tell them "Yes I can because I'm a Do-It Your selfer!"

Call 847-398-5212, Is it Ever Worth it to Buy New? For Copiers, We Don't Think So

In today's day and age, there are so many options when purchasing copiers, and even more when selecting where to purchase them.  We're going to go ahead and give you some guidelines that we think should help you out a lot, whether you choose to use us here at Correct-Tek  Copier Service, or someone else.

1. Is it ever worth it to buy new anymore?  In this economy, we have noticed a very large trend towards used/refurbished copiers over new ones.  Why you ask?  Well, for one, a used copier usually goes for about one fourth (most times even less) of the price of a new copier, while still being able to do most (if not every) thing that a new one can do.  The key to finding a great used copier is to find one with a good copy count - A copier’s copy count can be looked at similarly to a car's mileage.
The less copies it has, the fewer problems you will probably have to deal with in the future.  On the same note, just because a car has less miles on it, it can still perform well for a long time, as long as it's a good car. "Good" copy count will vary from machine to machine, as a much higher volume printer, such as one that does 100 plus copies a minute, would still have a good copy count with 1 or even 2 million copies, since it is built for volume, while for a copier that performs 35-45 copies per minute, you will want a copy count of under 1 million.

2. Ok, now where to buy one.  When you are looking for copier suppliers, you can do a simple search for places near your area via Yahoo Local, you can do a search on Yahoo or Google.  The main thing that you’re looking for is a company that has been around for a while, and if possible, checks for an abundance of positive feedback/testimonials, which can be found when using services such as Yelp, Facebook, or Google Plus.

3. What do you need?  What kind of production will your business be doing, and what kind of accessories will you need?  For smaller businesses, we like to recommend copiers that can do 35-50 copies per minute.  Copiers in this range should be good for about 50,000 to 250,000 copies a month. For larger corporations, we like copiers that will produce 60-100 plus copies per minute - These copiers are ideal if you have a print shop, as they are built to do up to 200,000 to 2,000,000 copies per month.

4. Time to accessorize!  You will now need to determine what you will need your copier to come with. For many businesses, they like their copier to be their printer for all of their computers, in addition to its normal function of copying.  To do this, you will need what is called a "Fiery," or "Rip."  These are basically small computers that hook up to your copier and router, and by simply inputting a few things, such as IP and Gateway IP, (a copier tech can do this) you can use your copier on your network in the same way you would use a printer.  Also, modern copiers have the ability to do many things - If you need documents to be stapled, you will need a stapling finisher.  To do brochures or books, you will need a booklet maker.  These are all "extras" that must be discussed before purchasing.

Choosing a copier can be tough, but with the right knowledge, you will surely make a great decision!

Call 847-398-5212, How Your Office Can Go 'Green' With Refurbished Copiers

Today most of us are taking responsibility for the environmental impact our choices can make on the world.  In our personal space, we recycle everything from old cell phones to cereal boxes.  Just as commercial and residential building contractors are integrating sustainable or recycled materials in homes and offices they build, so should businesses have a similar social and ethical responsibility to the environment.  While most companies ask their employees to recycle their plastic water bottles, certain measures should also be taken to recycle office equipment.

When purchasing a copy machine, it is important to consider the environmental effects of the copier throughout its life cycle in regards to manufacturing, packaging, usage, shipping and disposal.  Let's consider that for each 50-story commercial building in America there were five companies per floor, each with four copy machines, that is a total of 1,000 copy machines per building.  Now if one were to take that number and multiply it by the number of commercial buildings in the United States, which is an outrageous number of copy machines!  If only 1000 of those companies were to purchase refurbished copiers, or donate the used ones upon purchasing new or leased copiers, imagine the 'green' impact that could have on the environment!

The first environmental benefit to buying a refurbished copy machine is eliminating the need to purchase the raw materials needed for producing a new copier, in effect reducing the end users carbon footprint.  If one were to consider the amount of carbon produced through manufacturing and shipping a new machine, purchasing a refurbished copier makes perfect sense.

The obvious 'green' advantage to purchasing a refurbished copier is the reduction of the wasteful dumping of a perfectly serviceable machine.  It takes decades, if ever, for the plastic material that an ink cartridge is housed in to decompose, and printer ink should be properly disposed; as it is non-biodegradable and toxic to the environment.  Purchasing a refurbished copier ensures that a copier does not end up in a landfill, in effect reducing waste.

Another approach to keeping your office 'green' is to purchase a refurbished copier which features the ENERGY STAR label.  According to the EPA, using an ENERGY STAR copier can reduce that machines annual electricity bills by nearly 60 percent, by shutting off after a period of inactivity.  High-speed copiers have a duplexing option that when set to double-sided copies can reduce paper usage by at least 25%.

If your copier is not ready for the landfill, refurbishing it is a good place to start.  If it is ready to retire, buying a refurbished copier is unquestionably the 'green' approach to replacing it.

Call 847-398-5212, Best Tips in Cleaning Copier Machines

Purchasing a great copier machine will give you all the benefits of having a piece of heavy duty equipment that will give you a multifunction usage of a nice piece of office equipment. This machine is one of the basic needs in your workplace and any other commercial business that you may have.  Here, you will need to choose and determine carefully, so you will not have any further problems when using it.  You need to have the proper cleaning process in place, to keep it working in an orderly fashion in order to get the best of its benefits.

Cleaning a copier machine is a simple task to do if you get the proper steps and methods in order. You do not need to purchase an expensive cleaner and any other appliances for the daily up keep; you only need to prepare some simple cleaning solvents, which you can easily buy in the market today. You need to prepare silicon oil, anti static fluid, toner vacuum and also a paper path cleaning paper. First, you need to clean up the copier surfaces by using anti-static fluid, paying close attention to the exposure glass especially, when doing so. You need to wipe it down until it’s as clean as can be.
Furthermore, when it comes to the photoconductive drum and its parts; it’s very important to remember to never try to clean it with any type of solvent or cleaning materials yourself.  Reason being is that it is a photoconductive material that is a very sensitive part of the copier and can be easily damaged if not handled properly. It is the most prominent part in which the toner ink and the paper adheres to and should only be cleaned and serviced by a trained technician or specialist. You will also need to be very careful if trying to clean the fuser parts using the silicon oil; because it can be very hot. By cleaning it properly, you will get all the benefits of having a great bond of toner and printer paper. Moreover, it will be better if you use the toner vacuum to clean the toner area.  Instead of those steps above, you also can use another alternative by just running the paper in your copier machine. In this way, you can clear the paper path and also get the benefits of cleaning the paper rollers in the same time.

Getting the Proper Process of Cleaning down, will let you reap the best of all the benefits, so you will get the best performance of your copier and its copied documents. In addition to getting the proper process of cleaning, you may also need to choose the proper copier products that you can purchase at affordable prices; such as you can find on copiers for sale, where you can also find the best deals of both Konica Minolta and Xerox copiers for your needs.

Call 847-398-5212, Where to Find Copy Machines for Sale

If you've spent any time researching copy machines for sale, you are likely aware that it's a huge investment to get a good piece of office equipment.  New machines, at a rough estimate, can run anywhere between $3,000 and $12,000.  Used copiers, on the other hand, can be found for as little as $1,000, and all the way up to $7,000.  Whatever option you choose, there are four major choices.

1. Direct from Manufacturer
This is a very recent option for people who want to find copy machines for sale.  Many of the major brand name manufacturers will sell you a copier directly.  Cutting out the middleman can have several benefits.  Engineers for setup and repairs tend to have an easier time learning to work with one brand's equipment than that of several brands.  Service can be quicker, and they'll be well-stocked with replacement parts.  The drawback is that they tend to sell at higher prices, and can be lacking in customer service compared to traditionally customer-facing businesses.

2. Local Retail Stores
This is a more common way to go, and for good reasons.  Much of this has to do with convenience. Being able to walk into a storefront and speak to a representative in person, without worrying about phone transfers, can save plenty of time.  Stores like these, also tend to get discounts from the manufacturers, saving the purchaser in the end.  On the other hand, the tendency to sell multiple brands means that repair technicians can be on the slow side, and may lack the necessary parts.

3. Online Retailers
Online stores are an increasingly common place to find copy machines for sale.  The thing about these companies is that their lack of a physical storefront lowers their overhead costs.  This frees up money for warehouse space, and can allow them to have a bigger, more diverse stock.  Some can even have equipment shipped from the manufacturer directly to you, at retail prices.  While they may or may not offer comprehensive servicing, this can be a very convenient way to buy a copier.

4. Online Classifieds and Bidding Sites
Finally, there's peer to peer market.  These websites have become incredibly popular.  Patient shoppers can find deals buying a used copier directly from the previous owner.  The selection can also be very large, as some sites compile ads from around the country.  Some places like this feature a reputation system, whereby users can rate repeat sellers for quality and reliability.  It's very important to take advantage of these systems if you go this route.  This option carries the risk of damaged or difficult to service equipment.  Go this route at your own risk.

Call 847-398-5212, Modern Copiers Offer Higher Functionality

Today's printing and copying technology has evolved to the point when documents can be produced almost instantly.  Copy machines can produce hundreds of reproductions within mere minutes, not sacrificing quality and maintaining the look of the original document.  If your business has been using an older model copier, consider upgrading to a new, modern copier that has the ability to work more efficiency and streamline your document printing process.

There are many brands of copying and printing machines, and the competition between them has driven prices down, passing the savings on to the consumer.  Nowadays, copiers offer unprecedented functionality at prices that were unheard of ten years ago.

When choosing a copier for your office or business, consider the many ways your employees will use its functions.  Digital copy machines optically scan the original document and convert it into a digital format before being processed for printing.  Older, analog copiers optically transfer the image from the original paper to the copy paper, via thru several mirrors and a lens.  When it comes to speed and efficiency, both analog and digital copiers can quickly produce a multitude of documents.  However, most new digital copiers can offer multifunction processes, such as faxing, scanning, and printing.  The digital format allows for cross sharing amongst different media and can streamline your office workflow, and digital copies of documents will decrease the amount of paper you use for printing.

Black and white copiers have been a standard and popular choice for high-volume text document copying.  Black toner costs less than color toner, bringing your overall cost-per-copy down.  If you need the impact of vibrancy though, color copiers can help you make a great impression with high-quality, crisp color documents.  Color copiers are essential if your business needs to make a statement with presentations, brochures, signs or flyers.  Graphic color copiers are available for businesses that regularly produce comprehensive graphic documents where the image is an essential part of the print.

Color copiers are digital and work much like a laser printer, transferring scanned information to a charged drum by laser.  The toner adheres to the charged part of the drum and is heated before being transferred to the paper.   Higher-end color copiers can produce duplications quickly, while the less expensive models need to take multiple passes with the toner to achieve sharp images and colors.

Standard features on color copiers include image centering, border erasing, color balancing and color adjustment.  Higher end copiers offer additional functionality, including colorizing, which allows you to make color copies of black and white original documents by selecting a color for a designated design or area.  However, most users have access to image editing software that can allow them to manipulate the image and reprint it before it is duplicated.  Take into account all the features your employees will need in an office copier before making your purchase.
