Choosing a Wide Format Printer, Copier Or Scanner

A few important things to consider when choosing a wide format printer, copier or scanner.  They are; whether to buy new or used, the purpose and amount of use the equipment will have, how will the increased capacity of such machines can affect your business and how long it will take to recoup the expense.  On the expense issues alone, there are big positives to encourage a business to make this purchase.

If you are choosing a wide format printer, copier or scanner that is used and re-formatted you can realize savings on the initial investment of about fifty percent over new costs.  Prices vary from around $600 to $1000 on the low end to above $12,000 for refurbished printers, plotters, scanners and copiers in wide format configuration.  Used and re-formatted machines should come with their own warranty and technical support. Purchase only from a reputable company that stands behind their products 100%.

When using wide format machinery you will be able to produce different types of materials without the need for joining parts together on the finished product.  This can be a major plus for looks alone and durability.  You can easily produce larger posters, banners, window cling signs and other retail signage. This can be a real benefit to high volume businesses like advertising agencies, print shops and retail stores.  For these businesses it makes sense to purchase a wide format printer, copier or scanner because of the savings realized quickly due to the volume of items needed.

Obtaining good equipment is a great selling tool for any business that produces signage and reproductions.  Output can be made right in-house with less expense than if it were necessary to send jobs out to other sources for wide machine production.  Wide format is good when you are working with CAD and blueprints, large photographs or drawings or any other artwork that is best handled at one time.  With large format machinery you can copy, scan and print large artwork and designs without having to piece together the finished products.  Wide format printers are valuable and save time and money because you can print in one large piece.

Paper sizes from 24" to 42" widths are accommodated by various large format printers. High speed output is accomplished with fast drying ink jet printing and using convenient roll paper.  Fast speed at high resolution means you are able to reproduce  high quality line drawings, renderings or photographs. This is good especially for map making and other geographic renditions in monochrome or full color.  This is also great for archive storage of documents and records.

How you use the wide format machinery is open to imagination.  Posters, artwork and photographs in large sizes can be run quickly and cost effectively on wide format printers.  You can run large jobs or mixed jobs together and obtain large quantities faster than with smaller machines.  Text books, manuals and descriptive booklets with photos are good candidates for large format printers, copiers and scanners.  If you need volume, consider purchasing this type of equipment for your business.

In every business professional printing and copying are key operations that must be undertaken each and every day.  The machines we use to perform these tasks dictate a lot on the quality of work that we achieve.  Although we may set our documents to a certain desired standard, the printout or the copies we make may not come out in the same way we want if the machines are faulty.  However, with Sharp Copier toner, you have an assurance that you will have up to the standard and high quality work.

Today there are lots of different types of copiers to choose from.  If you choose to buy the Sharp copier brand, you should buy a corresponding sharp copier toner OEM brand that will auger well with your copier.  Otherwise you do not want to have a mismatch of machines made in different companies and performing incompatible tasks.  To be sure of compatibility, you could refer to the model number of the copier and use it to locate a suitable toner.

Since the toner cartridges come in two types, you will have to decide whether you want to buy the refillable or the disposable ones. You alone will know best which one is convenient.

The best way to get the facts right, is to, visit the supply stores; like Staples and have the personnel assist you.  You may be pleased to be informed that the refillable one can actually cut down a lot of expenses, much more than the disposable one.

Learn About Recycling Office Supplies With Toner Resources

Do you feel that the environmental impact of your business or a company that you work for is excessive?  If you have not thought about the ways that your business or the business you work for is affecting our global environment, I urge you to take a look at what is going on. Though many people have not come around to this kind of approach, it is nonetheless an important thing that people have been paying attention to in recent years.  This is a concern that has become more and more common in various areas of our culture as the attitude of our culture expands to a global sense.  A consumer based culture is one that is filled with lots of opportunity, but it is also riddled with problematic repercussions, many of which we have yet to comprehend in any real way.

The implications of having a widespread, disposable global culture are one that will not last very long with the habits that have been developed.  So many of the materials used in basic business and their day to day operations has vast ecological impacts that will be seen for many decades to come.  In fact, many of the materials used daily in basic business are actually highly toxic to humans and biological life.  One example of this kind of toxic material that we use daily are the printing materials that we have become heavily reliant on in order to conduct business, and document everything going on within it.

Plenty of options are out there when it comes to a more conscientious approach to using and disposing of your office supplies, some of which are toxic or contain highly toxic materials within them; like printer cartridges filled with residual inks; so, if you are searching for HP toner supplies, for example, you probably have older cartridges and materials that need to be disposed.  Most people do not think much of this and simply cast them off into the nearest wastebasket to be transported to the municipal dump or landfill.  When this happens, the toxic properties within these materials eventually leaks out and into the water table, contaminating ground water beyond human and biological consumption.

If this sounds like something that you would like to avoid doing, there are toner resources that you can consult in order to make a change in your company or the company you work for.  Many retailers and various brands actually have repositories where you can take or ship your excess materials that are no longer of any use to you or your business.  This is only one option to consider when trying to reduce your ecological impact.  There are so many other ways to make sure that you are recycling and doing your part to keep this world in working order and not harmful to its inhabitants.  Toner resources are a great option for anyone seeking to learn more about this, so check out some of the various areas of information on the subject when you have a moment.

Getting the Best Remanufactured Cartridges

Remanufactured cartridges are used cartridges that are taken back to the factory after use, where they are redesigned for reuse.  They are an inexpensive option to new cartridges, as they give an almost similar quality to new cartridges.  These remanufactured toner cartridges and laser toner cartridges are commonly used, as they are almost as effective as new ink toner cartridges.

They undergo various processes, which fall under the remanufacturing process.  One among the most important processes that cartridges undergo is disassembling, washing and replacement of the broken parts.  The toner too is refilled then packed in new packaging thus, apart from the price and the fact that the cartridge is remanufactured.  The printing quality is almost the same if not better most times, as that of a brand new cartridge.  Remanufactured cartridges are marked thus, this enables buyers distinguish remanufactured cartridges from new cartridges.

The advantage of acquiring remanufactured cartridges is that the buyer saves approximately 50 percent of the price of a new cartridge.  This is also realized on purchase of remanufactured laser toner cartridges since the cartridges are refilled and the laser toners undergo refilling.  They also have remanufactured supplies for photocopiers and fax machines.  With an almost similar quality in output, remanufactured cartridges have the added advantage of having a consumer friendly price tag.

The other advantage of printer cartridge recycling is that when the cartridges are remanufactured, there are fewer disposals, since the used cartridges are recycled in an environment friendly process thus, ensuring that the environment is kept clean.  This process also seeks to avoid landfills, which serve to increase pollution to unprecedented levels.  This thus keeps the environment clean from toxic and lethal chemicals that harm the environment and its users.

The refilled cartridges are tested and have certification that shows that they have met the manufacturer standards and are fit for use with printers.  The performance is also tested and there has been positive feedback from end users of remanufactured cartridges.  This feedback is taken from the users of remanufactured cartridges that have tested the refills fully for a specified period of time and thus certified their quality of use in production, therefore after this testing and certification a majority of the end users can comfortably pledge to the efficacy of these cartridges.

When looking for good remanufactured cartridges, one has to get the cartridges that are compatible to their printer type thus; this is possible through being familiar with the dimensions of the cartridge slot in the printer.  Most of the cartridges are designed in universally standardized dimensions to allow usage with major types of printers hence the size of the cartridge is not such a problem when procuring a remanufactured cartridge.

The size is mainly considered due to the quantity of toner that the cartridge contains.  It is also important to consider the color of the toner that is in the remanufactured cartridge since cartridges have different colors therefore, if the buyer is not careful they could buy the wrong color cartridge.  Most of the cartridges have black color, which is mainly used for many printing processes.

Get Quality Printer Toner Supplies On The Internet

Both hardware and software of computers demand much attention.  Otherwise, they might develop some defect in their functioning.  The printer is one of the main components of the whole computer system, so one needs to use it intelligently as well.  Depending upon the way they work, one can categorize printers in a number of types.  Here, we will discuss the toner based printers and their various supplies.

In very simple terms, printers are the devices that produce a hard copy of the data that is stored in the memory of the computer in the form of files and documents.  There are different types of printers based on the technology they use.  Toner based printers are the first one on the list.  These printers use the principle that is followed in most of the photocopiers, that is, the Xerographic principle. It uses static electricity to make contact between the toner and the printing photo conductive material channel. This contact includes pressure as well as heat.

The laser printer is an example of a toner based printer.  These printers are famous for good quality pictures, speed and low production cost.  Due to all these qualities, they are highly used in offices and homes.  They can produce high quality colored as well as black and white print outs.  Good quality print outs also require quality printer toner supplies and you get them through reputed stores as well as through well known websites.

A toner is a special kind of ink used in laser and LED printers.  It includes a dry powdered substance having an electrical charge.  Due to this feature, it adheres when it comes into the contact with plate or paper which is loaded with opposite polarity.  All printer toners have a cartridge that fills with the powder substance.  When it is finished, it can be refilled again.  Some of the printer toner supplies are cartridges, ink, adherence drum, toner cleaner and other small pieces of equipment.

There are a number of companies that deal with quality printer toner supplies.  Some of them are Canon, Samsung, HP, Dell, Brother and others.  For example, HP provides you with quality printer toner supplies in different numbers.  If you are an e-shopper, you can update yourself with their features by using the number of the item you want.  Their highlights include the resolution they offer in the printouts, the number of pages printed out with one time cartridge refill and their price.

All the reliable brands are registered on the Internet and anyone can easily derive the relevant information by doing an internet search.  Thanks to the number of websites available on the internet right now, users can also compare the prices of different quality printer toner supplies choosing the cheapest one, is not always the best decision.  Beware of those, cause there are a lot of inferior products on the internet that can cause you major repair bills.

What to Look for in a Printer Copier Combination

What Do I Need in a Printer Copier?

This can be a difficult decision to make because you need to know things like workloads, and duty cycles.  You can learn all about these things by turning and going to the internet and doing some research on printer copier machines.  It's important to learn how a printer copier will work and how it can benefit you.

Once you know the employees in the workplace or how the company will use the new office equipment, you can begin to compare specs between different brands on the internet.  It's always a good idea to compare a few different brands at the same time to get an idea of prices and features they offer.

What you should look for is a brand that stays within your budget and will also get you all of the features you want.  Also make sure it performs the way you need it to.  If you have a fifty cent budget, don't expect anything high quality.  Your best bet is to wait until your budget is a bit higher to ensure you get a better printer copier.

Network Ready
Is your printer copier going to be used by more than one person in the office?  The best way to achieve this goal is to put the machine on your local area network, and give access to the people who use it the most.  This solves the problem of having people leave their work area constantly to print, or copy items.

Wherever you choose to buy your printer copier, be sure to ask about ease of installation on your network.  You don't need your network people taking all day trying to figure out a complicated setup for a new piece of equipment.  This takes away valuable time of your network technicians.

Space Saver
Typically the multifunction units are quite compact when compared to other office equipment.  They can normally be setup in a small cubical, or storage space.  This makes them ideal for small work places.  They can usually sit on a desk or a shelf.  They aren’t big pieces of equipment and don’t require a lot of space.

Fewer parts breaking means they will save you time when it comes to repairing them.  This will save your company some money and every company, owner or boss likes to hear the words “money saver”.  If your office isn't a place that will demand anything extreme out of this equipment, it will do everything you need it to.

How To Lower Copier Repair Costs

No one likes it when there is a need for copier repair.  In fact, you may find yourself frustrated with how often you are experiencing breakdowns.   They can happen for many reasons.  Sometimes, they are unavoidable.  In other cases, simply caring for your machine on a regular basis can make all of the difference in the world.  Take the time to contact a technician about any types of repairs you need as soon as they happen.  You can do some things to reduce the costs next time around.

Preventative Maintenance on Copiers

The biggest step you can take to reduce copier repair costs is simply to avoid them altogether.  With preventative maintenance, you may see a significant improvement in efficiency with this machine, too. A good place to start is with the owner's manual.  It will include specific steps to take to keep the system running properly.  Some of these steps may include how frequently you need to change ink or toner.  It should also include steps on proper cleaning and dust removal.  With regular maintenance, you will find it easier to spot concerns before they become problems.

Train Your Team

When it comes to keeping the system functioning at its best, sometimes the process starts with training your employees to use it properly.  The basic way these machines function is likely the same.  However, some systems work slightly differently.  Some people may simply be too rough with the way the system works.  In other cases, you may notice problems such as loading concerns that lead to paper jams. Moreover, when a paper jam does happen, some people remove them in the wrong way. This damages the way the system works overall.  It can also damage the working components of the system.

Have a Technician in Often

Often, preventative maintenance will include having a professional come in to inspect the system annually.  This may occur more frequently if the system is used heavily.  Keep in mind that it is up to you to ensure that the person working on the system has the training and experience with the actual make and model you own.  Finding someone certified with the right make and model will ultimately ensure that the technician knows how to make repairs properly.  This means there is no risk of further damage.

Copier repair is a big deal and not something to put off.  If the system starts to show signs of concerns, have a professional out to fix it. When you take these steps, you reduce the risk of damage. This means less risk of costly replacement parts or having to replace the copiers in total.  Moreover, you can keep your team's productivity up, which will drive costs significantly lower than having a system that is not working.

Office Copiers - A Glimpse Of Evolution And Functionality

With evolution of technology, carbon paper copying has turned in to digital photocopying which is a necessity in every office that uses written documents.  Researcher Chester Carlson, who liked to use his kitchen for his electro photographic experiments, invented office copiers when he found a way to duplicate documents using light and electricity and patented his technology under the name of 'Xerography'.  This technology laid the foundation of the digitally enhanced office copiers we see today.

Analog office copiers
The early electric copiers were slow and inefficient.  In order to make multiple copies, the documents needed to be scanned each time, separately.  Somewhere around 1950 to 1960, color toner became available but they were scarce in quantity and therefore expensive and difficult to find.  In order to make color toner commercial, the dye sublimation process replaced the conventional electrostatic technology, and in 1968, the colored office copiers became commercial and easily available.

Digital office copiers
Laser technology later replaced all of the older ones and copying became more efficient.  Digital copiers today come with scan and save options.  Once the data is scanned and stored in the internal memory, it is available anytime later for printing.

Since 2002, every digital copier in the market comes with a hard drive that stores files of every copy made, scanned, or faxed by the machine, enabling the office manager to keep a record of every employee's documents.  Most office copiers come with a security code as well.  Every employee is assigned a specific code so that if any ethical violation or misconduct occurs, the document can be traced back to the worker via the code.

Integral parts of a copier
Document Feeder / Platen
This is the glass plate where the document that needs to be copied is fed.  This part requires intensive care and cleaning.  The glass should be saved from scratches of staples or any sort of smudges.  Some manufacturers offer a special cleaning agent for the glass.

Lens or scanner
The digital office copiers today are equipped with a lens or scanner, below the platen, to capture the image of the document.  Analog copiers used a lens and several mirrors for this purpose.

Toner
The ink used in the copier is referred to as the toner.  The toner is in powder form, and is specially designed to carry an electrical charge.  Single toned copiers use only black tone while polychromatic copiers use cyan, yellow, and magenta in combination with black to produce multicolored spectrum.

Paper infix
A drawer or the tray serves as the holder for the paper.  This tray can hold anywhere from one to thousands of sheets of papers or the user will have to go through the trouble of fixing paper at every instant.

Drum
The image captured by the lens or scanner then transfers to the drum, which serves as a photo-receptive device and transfers the image on to the paper.  The drum has an electrostatically charged surface providing an opposite charge as that of the toner as a result of which when the paper passes through the rotating drum the image of the toner is replicated on the paper.

Fuse r
The fuse r comprises two parts: a heat roller and a pressure roller.  After the transfer of the image from the toner to the paper, the paper passes through these two rollers.  The heat and pressure imprint the image on the paper permanently.

Output tray
Like the in-put tray or drawer, the output tray is also used to hold the papers securely.  As the paper comes out of the copier, the ink is hot and can easily destroy the document by smudging if touched, therefore it needs drying, and tray serves as a base.

Office copier brands
Many recognized and well-known companies have invested in this business. The top copier brands include:
• Brother
• Canon
• Copystar
• HP
• Konica Minolta
• Kyocera Mita
• Lanier
• Lexmark
• Savin
• Sharp
• Ricoh
• Toshiba
• Xerox

Purchasing a well-recognized brand guarantees good quality.  And if an unexpected malfunction occurs, you have the manufacturer's warranty to get it fixed without any extra charges.  However, the choice of which brand provides the perfect copier for you depends on your needs and the number of employees using the machine.

Multipurpose copiers
If you are in the market for a new copier, then the latest multipurpose copiers may serve your purpose. This means that in addition to copying, they also are good for printing, scanning, booklet making, punching , stapling and faxing.  These copiers will probably cost more so you may want to assess whether the added cost is justified for your business.

Call 847-398-5212, Printer Fuser Units - New Versus Refurbished

Laser printer supplies and replacement parts prices can be very expensive, so to save us money some very resourceful people have come up with an alternative to buying new fusers.

Fuser Units
A fuser unit is the part in a laser printer that creates pressure and heat to fuse toner to the paper.  Not all of the parts go bad in the whole assembly when they wear out.  The main part that wears out is the upper heat roller or the heat sleeve.  The coating wears off and causes the toner to not fuse properly. There are replacement rollers and sleeves on the market that you can replace and turn a non-functional fuser into a good working one.

Rebuilding fuser assemblies is not a new thing.  Copier technicians have been doing it for years since the first office copier was created.  When the fuser wears on any copier they replace certain parts some of which are, the upper heat roller, lower heat roller, bearings, picker fingers, thermistors, drive gears and more.  The printer industry has a different approach in that they replace everything as an assembly. People are accustomed to this and when they need a replacement fuser they opt for a new one many times.  I believe it is a mind set.  A copier service person would look at it as a waste of money.  Why buy a new one when you can buy the replacement parts for a fraction of the cost and install them and make it as good as new.  You must be cautious when purchasing replacement parts because there are some replacement parts that are subpar, so finding a good parts source is imperative.

Refurbished Fusers
The Pros are:  1.) Cost much less than a new assembly.
                          2.) Comes with a warranty.
The Cons are:  1.) Higher defect rate if you don't find a quality manufacturer.

New Original Fusers
The Pros are:   1.) You know for sure that what you are getting is as good as there is.
                          2.) Comes with a warranty.
The Cons are:  1.) Cost is much higher than a refurbished fuser.
2.) These too can be defective out of the box.

I have replaced many fusers and believe that using refurbished fusers is the way to go.  It will not harm the machine and I have seen refurbished fusers last longer than new fusers.  You will save money and don't forget about the recycling aspect.  There could be tons of old fuser cores in the land fills if it wasn't for refurbished fusers.

The pros out way the cons when it comes to refurbished fuser units.  It is critical that you find quality refurbished fusers with a good warranty and you will save a lot of money while helping keep our landfills from filling up with old fuser units.

Call 847-398-5212, Is it Ever Worth it to Buy New? For Copiers, We Don't Think So

In today's day and age, there are so many options when purchasing copiers, and even more when selecting where to purchase them.  We're going to go ahead and give you some guidelines that we think should help you out a lot, whether you choose to use us here at Correct-Tek  Copier Service, or someone else.

1. Is it ever worth it to buy new anymore?  In this economy, we have noticed a very large trend towards used/refurbished copiers over new ones.  Why you ask?  Well, for one, a used copier usually goes for about one fourth (most times even less) of the price of a new copier, while still being able to do most (if not every) thing that a new one can do.  The key to finding a great used copier is to find one with a good copy count - A copier’s copy count can be looked at similarly to a car's mileage.
The less copies it has, the fewer problems you will probably have to deal with in the future.  On the same note, just because a car has less miles on it, it can still perform well for a long time, as long as it's a good car. "Good" copy count will vary from machine to machine, as a much higher volume printer, such as one that does 100 plus copies a minute, would still have a good copy count with 1 or even 2 million copies, since it is built for volume, while for a copier that performs 35-45 copies per minute, you will want a copy count of under 1 million.

2. Ok, now where to buy one.  When you are looking for copier suppliers, you can do a simple search for places near your area via Yahoo Local, you can do a search on Yahoo or Google.  The main thing that you’re looking for is a company that has been around for a while, and if possible, checks for an abundance of positive feedback/testimonials, which can be found when using services such as Yelp, Facebook, or Google Plus.

3. What do you need?  What kind of production will your business be doing, and what kind of accessories will you need?  For smaller businesses, we like to recommend copiers that can do 35-50 copies per minute.  Copiers in this range should be good for about 50,000 to 250,000 copies a month. For larger corporations, we like copiers that will produce 60-100 plus copies per minute - These copiers are ideal if you have a print shop, as they are built to do up to 200,000 to 2,000,000 copies per month.

4. Time to accessorize!  You will now need to determine what you will need your copier to come with. For many businesses, they like their copier to be their printer for all of their computers, in addition to its normal function of copying.  To do this, you will need what is called a "Fiery," or "Rip."  These are basically small computers that hook up to your copier and router, and by simply inputting a few things, such as IP and Gateway IP, (a copier tech can do this) you can use your copier on your network in the same way you would use a printer.  Also, modern copiers have the ability to do many things - If you need documents to be stapled, you will need a stapling finisher.  To do brochures or books, you will need a booklet maker.  These are all "extras" that must be discussed before purchasing.

Choosing a copier can be tough, but with the right knowledge, you will surely make a great decision!

Call 847-398-5212, Looking For A Great Deal On Copiers For Sale?

If you are wondering how to find a great deal on copiers for sale, have you considered buying refurbished ones?  The term refurbished may frighten some people off, but it can be a great way to equip your office at a fraction of the usual cost.  You can buy all sorts of refurbished items from phones to printers.

Some stores will send their display models of printers and copiers back to the manufacturers.  These items can't be sold as new as the boxes have been opened and the machines may be slightly damaged.  It is usually only slight scratches on the external part of the machine.  The inner components are still in full working order and are probably even covered by a warranty.

Speak to your local dealers about their refurbished copiers for sale.  Ask them where the machines originated and what process is used to refurbish the equipment.  Some places just do a light clean whereas others will check out the unit thoroughly.  In addition to making sure that the item is working, they will replace any worn parts and will also provide a warranty for a specific period of time which is usually about 3 months.

Regardless of whether you are buying new or used always buy the right size and capability for your needs.  You may have underestimated the amount of copying you will be doing.  You don't want to go to a lot of trouble finding the right copier only to find out you’ll grow out of the machine within weeks.

Don't just pay the first price you see.  Negotiate hard when looking at copiers for sale as you can often achieve further discounts on stated prices.  This is especially true when you use cash at your local store as the store owner can save money on the fees charged on credit or debit card purchases.

Why buy used vs. new?
Copy machines are a lot like cars.   As soon as a car leaves the lot, or in this case, as soon as a copy machine is sold, it loses a lot of value.  The cost of a brand new copier is generally very inflated, and can range from $7,000 to more than $50,000, while used copy machines run anywhere from 50% to 75% of the original price.  And much like cars, used copiers come with warranties and run just like new for a very long time.  Furthermore, unlike cars there's really no way to tell the difference between a new and used copier, and who's going to be looking at your copy machine anyway?

Can I trust a used copier?
In general, a good used copier company will only sell you a copy machine with low usage and with any worn parts that needed to be replaced.  In fact, most refurbished copiers are from short term rentals, sales demos, off-lease contracts and repossessions, and have been used less than three months as rated by their manufacturers recommended monthly usage table.  Additionally, most machines have an internal copy counter that keeps track of the number of copies it has made in its lifetime.  A trustworthy refurbished copier company will show you the copy counter as well as provide a warranty on the used copier that you buy.

I don't want an off-brand copier.
No problem!  Most used copiers actually come from top-of-the-line brands such as Ricoh, Konica Minolta, or Toshiba copiers.  And with big brands comes even bigger savings.  On a $50,000 copier you could save anywhere from $25,000 to $37,500.  You can also find refurbished color copiers, desktop copiers, and enterprise copiers that make up to 100 copies per minute.

When times are tough you want to ensure your company is squeezing the value out of every last dollar and cent.  So why would you spend your entire office supplies budget on a new copier when you can purchase a certified refurbished copier at markets 50-75 percent below MSRP?  Purchasing a certified used copier is a smart business decision.  It will provide your office the productivity it requires for many years but won't come with the elevated costs of a brand new copy machine.  Find a refurbished copy machine distributor today!

Call 847-398-5212, Why Should I Purchase A Refurbished Copier With A Warranty?

Used car warranties aren't always the best deal, and neither are so-called "extended warranties" on electronics such as computers, but when it comes to copier warranties you should always get one.  Read on to learn why you should purchase a refurbished copy machine with a warranty.

If you are looking to purchase a new or used copier but are concerned about the quality of local service, a copier warranty is the only way to ensure peace of mind with your purchase.  Although you should always ensure that your refurbished copier is coming from a good place (most come from short term rentals, off-lease contracts, sales demos and corporate downsizing) and is in good condition (most have been used for less than three months), a warranty will ensure that if anything happens to it, the labor and parts will be covered.

So why even bother purchasing refurbished discount copiers, if you're so afraid about its condition you need a warranty?  Copier machines are a lot like cars.  As soon as they "leave the lot" they severely depreciate in value; but also just like cars, most times a used copy machine is just as good as a new one - in fact, it most likely has been barely used at all.

Since you can buy a refurbished copy machine at such discounted prices, you or your company will be able to afford a much better, top name brand copier than you might be able to buy otherwise.
Buying a certified used copy machine is just a plain smart business decision. It will provide your company with the productivity it requires for many years down the road, but it won't come with the inflated costs of a brand new copy machine.

When looking for a refurbished copier, it's important to find a reputable company to do business with. You want to only buy from a company with an A+ review rating, and of course, ensure that they provide some kind of warranty with your new copier.  Most companies will automatically provide a limited warranty (such as covering the first 90 days), but the best choice is a company that offers an extended warranty.  The warranty should cover parts and labor, as well as cover all major circuit boards, motors, and scanning units.

Don't pay full price for a brand new copier for your office copy machine anymore today.  Purchase a refurbished copier with a warranty and guarantee for years of good service and enjoy the savings of upwards from 75-85% off MSRP.
