Top Copier Machine Products

A copier machine is commonly used in offices and school places as they provide copying purposes that is part of these community structures.  Xerox Corporation presented the first in the year 1949.  Photocopy machines were widely known as Xerox machines back then.

Nowadays, copier machine apparatus' are more advanced though.  Top quality machines can provide high-grade photocopying tasks such as copying colored materials like photograph pictures.

Manufacturers continue to develop more useful copy machine models to meet the growing demands.

Office Copiers
Copier machine equipment is ordinarily found in every office corner.  Most offices prefer to use digital due to its ability to save more time and make employees work more productively.
One type of copier machine is the  Kyocera M2040DN.  It is designed for small spaced offices.  This model comes in desktop size printers.  Despite the size this machine has, it also has 600 dpi PC Printing, electronic sorting plus standard color PC scanning features.  The M2040Dn can make 42 document copies per minute and can produce, at most, 99 document copies if placed in continuous copying setting.

All in One printers
All in one printers are the latest models produced by different manufacturers.  These machines provide Fax printing, document printing, scanning and photocopying tasks.  The design was created to deliver the most commonly used equipment in one package and thus, increase productivity levels using such machines.

Choosing a Wide Format Printer, Copier Or Scanner

A few important things to consider when choosing a wide format printer, copier or scanner.  They are; whether to buy new or used, the purpose and amount of use the equipment will have, how will the increased capacity of such machines can affect your business and how long it will take to recoup the expense.  On the expense issues alone, there are big positives to encourage a business to make this purchase.

If you are choosing a wide format printer, copier or scanner that is used and re-formatted you can realize savings on the initial investment of about fifty percent over new costs.  Prices vary from around $600 to $1000 on the low end to above $12,000 for refurbished printers, plotters, scanners and copiers in wide format configuration.  Used and re-formatted machines should come with their own warranty and technical support. Purchase only from a reputable company that stands behind their products 100%.

When using wide format machinery you will be able to produce different types of materials without the need for joining parts together on the finished product.  This can be a major plus for looks alone and durability.  You can easily produce larger posters, banners, window cling signs and other retail signage. This can be a real benefit to high volume businesses like advertising agencies, print shops and retail stores.  For these businesses it makes sense to purchase a wide format printer, copier or scanner because of the savings realized quickly due to the volume of items needed.

Obtaining good equipment is a great selling tool for any business that produces signage and reproductions.  Output can be made right in-house with less expense than if it were necessary to send jobs out to other sources for wide machine production.  Wide format is good when you are working with CAD and blueprints, large photographs or drawings or any other artwork that is best handled at one time.  With large format machinery you can copy, scan and print large artwork and designs without having to piece together the finished products.  Wide format printers are valuable and save time and money because you can print in one large piece.

Paper sizes from 24" to 42" widths are accommodated by various large format printers. High speed output is accomplished with fast drying ink jet printing and using convenient roll paper.  Fast speed at high resolution means you are able to reproduce  high quality line drawings, renderings or photographs. This is good especially for map making and other geographic renditions in monochrome or full color.  This is also great for archive storage of documents and records.

How you use the wide format machinery is open to imagination.  Posters, artwork and photographs in large sizes can be run quickly and cost effectively on wide format printers.  You can run large jobs or mixed jobs together and obtain large quantities faster than with smaller machines.  Text books, manuals and descriptive booklets with photos are good candidates for large format printers, copiers and scanners.  If you need volume, consider purchasing this type of equipment for your business.

Laser Toners - Sources To Get High Standard Laser Toners

Laser printers are more expensive as compared to inkjet printers.  These printers are used mainly for large scaled official purposes.  The performance of these printers is heavily dependent on the quality of the laser toners.  New toners are extremely expensive, and it is not possible to buy them time and again.  Most organizations get them refilled.

A number of companies are manufacturing laser toners.  Every company which deals in these printers has a range of toners available.  In my opinion, refilled colored toners sometimes, do not have the same quality as new ones.  The presentation and brightness of colors is not very good in comparison to the new original laser toners.  Apart from that, the quality of printouts is not that good as you might find toner grains on the printouts.  This is because of non-uniformity of its contents.

Buying new toners is not that hard.  You can get them from any brand dealer.  The problem is when you opt for refilling or buying compatible toners.  In this case, the level of quality varies from vendor to vendor as their suppliers and producers change.

OEM Laser Toners
These toners are manufactured by a professional company which usually is the manufacturer of the printer.  They have a standard size and shape.  Apart from that, they carry a brand logo.  The compatible versions never use the image of a brand.
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products are the most expensive and they cannot be remade ditto by other companies in this business.  Apart from that, you cannot refill your toners with the original company ink.  The quality of ink used in the re-manufactured products is not that good.

Remanufactured toners
Do you know that re-manufactured toners are less harmful for the environment?  This is because they are made out of recycled plastic.  These cartridges also termed as eco-toner cartridges.  Once your toners are empty, you need to take them to a reputed dealer and get them refilled.  However, make sure that only the best quality toner ink is used to refill these cartridges.  Low quality refills hinder the performance of a laser toner.

You need to be careful while you are placing an order for new toners.  You can get the best deal in terms of quality and price from the company dealer available online and not a third party vendor, as they will offer low quality product at higher rates.  Good brand vendors maintain an updated stock so you can rest assure about the quality level.

Laser Toner Companies and Tips

Discount Toner Company
This company is situated in the center of Illinois.  It is also close to the Cook County.  It provides low prices on compatible remanufactured copier toners, toner refill kits and laser toner cartridges.  The company sells a variety of laser cartridges with an easy interface and secure online ordering.
This company supplies the widest variety of Lexmark laser cartridges, HP laser cartridges, MICR toner cartridges and Canon copier cartridges.  It also provides products for fax machines, laser printers and other photocopiers.

Laser Toner Tips
Make sure you follow a few tips on how to replace a cartridge.  Buy a replacement for destroyed or old toner cartridge.  A cartridge in your printer must have several identifying type information on it, including the part number which you could use to distinguish the type you need.  As it starts to run low, several printers will launch a message to your computer which includes the part number for a replacement.

You can donate your old cartridge to an office supply store.  Several office supply stores will give you a store coupon for every cartridge that you donate.  Think of it as helping your environment.
Remove the destroyed cartridge.  You may need to snap the toner out of position.  Follow the instructions given to your printer if you have a hard time removing the destroyed one. Wear old cloth when replacing toner cartridges as the spills might stain your shirt.

Get the new toner cartridge out of the box.  Rock it back and forth several times.  Remove the protective cover and snap the new toner into position.  Close your printer cover if you installed the cartridge correctly.

Your printer may need to be aligned after replacing the toner cartridge.  Follow the instructions given by your printer for this type of task.

Add Copier Toner Cartridges To The Home Office Supply List

In the excitement of starting their own work from home business, some people overlook a crucial aspect: office equipment and supplies.  Many home-based businesses rely on paper and using the computer printer to make copies is often not feasible.  Investing in a high-quality copier and some toner cartridges is recommended for any home entrepreneur who will be duplicating documents.
While taking care of the legalities of starting a business, the individual should develop a list of required office equipment and supplies.  Even if the person has a computer, it might not be adequate for business use.  In some cases, only software upgrades will be necessary while in others, a new system will be needed.  Now is a great time to buy PCs and laptops because back to school deals are advertised everywhere.

A compatible printer should be included on the equipment list.  The latest styles feature wireless print capabilities, allowing printing to take place anywhere in the home.  When purchasing a new printer or getting the current one back into shape, an adequate supply of paper and ink is also recommended.  Keeping some in inventory ensures there will be no down time due to printer supply shortages.

Next on the list is the copier and it comes in various shapes and sizes with nearly as many features. The rule of thumb is to select one that does a bit more than is needed.  This way, when the business grows, a new machine will not be required.  When shopping for copier toner, look for premium compatible cartridges because these work as well or better as OEM cartridges and cost much less. Online retailers sell cartridges for major brands like Xerox, Ricoh, Canon, Konica-Minolta and Toshiba.

Pens, pencils, paper, filing cabinets, hanging files, folders, a stapler, and a calculator or adding machine are supplies that every home business owner should purchase.  Binders keep hard copy documents organized on shelves and in closets.  Do not forget the three-hole punch because without it, getting those papers into binders will be difficult.

With a shopping cart filled with everything from staples to toner cartridges, the new home business owner should be prepared for any situation.  Setting up a home office is fun but it is also a strategic exercise because furniture and equipment should be positioned to streamline workflow.  Once everything is in place, the new company will be ready to open its doors for business.

Learn About Recycling Office Supplies With Toner Resources

Do you feel that the environmental impact of your business or a company that you work for is excessive?  If you have not thought about the ways that your business or the business you work for is affecting our global environment, I urge you to take a look at what is going on. Though many people have not come around to this kind of approach, it is nonetheless an important thing that people have been paying attention to in recent years.  This is a concern that has become more and more common in various areas of our culture as the attitude of our culture expands to a global sense.  A consumer based culture is one that is filled with lots of opportunity, but it is also riddled with problematic repercussions, many of which we have yet to comprehend in any real way.

The implications of having a widespread, disposable global culture are one that will not last very long with the habits that have been developed.  So many of the materials used in basic business and their day to day operations has vast ecological impacts that will be seen for many decades to come.  In fact, many of the materials used daily in basic business are actually highly toxic to humans and biological life.  One example of this kind of toxic material that we use daily are the printing materials that we have become heavily reliant on in order to conduct business, and document everything going on within it.

Plenty of options are out there when it comes to a more conscientious approach to using and disposing of your office supplies, some of which are toxic or contain highly toxic materials within them; like printer cartridges filled with residual inks; so, if you are searching for HP toner supplies, for example, you probably have older cartridges and materials that need to be disposed.  Most people do not think much of this and simply cast them off into the nearest wastebasket to be transported to the municipal dump or landfill.  When this happens, the toxic properties within these materials eventually leaks out and into the water table, contaminating ground water beyond human and biological consumption.

If this sounds like something that you would like to avoid doing, there are toner resources that you can consult in order to make a change in your company or the company you work for.  Many retailers and various brands actually have repositories where you can take or ship your excess materials that are no longer of any use to you or your business.  This is only one option to consider when trying to reduce your ecological impact.  There are so many other ways to make sure that you are recycling and doing your part to keep this world in working order and not harmful to its inhabitants.  Toner resources are a great option for anyone seeking to learn more about this, so check out some of the various areas of information on the subject when you have a moment.

Why Do People Prefer Remanufactured Cartridges Over Compatible Cartridges?

One of the most important office machines is the printer!  Imagine a day without printers, computers, fax machines etc. they can be Chaotic and frustrating right?  In fact it can mean a stump in revenues also.  Whether office or educational institution, these machines have become a part of our lives now.  Hence, it is imperative that we take care of these appliances and machines.  We need to understand their components, their service mechanism, need to be in touch with customer care and suppliers, and above all respect all the parts and take care of the same.

Mainly there are 3 types of printer cartridges - OEM, Compatible and Remanufactured.  One of the 1st cartridges to hit the market bearing brand names was the OEM ones.  They are costly and standardized; but many customers want cartridges which are specially manufactured to meet certain requirements and exceed beyond the OEM ones.  These are the compatible ones.

They are customized to meet specific client needs and hence are not branded like Exxon, Canon etc. they are manufactured by third parties and not the actual manufacturers.  They can either be 100% compatible or less. If the cartridge is 100% compatible, it will be able to function with any kind of printer.  This means that 100% compatible cartridge is recognized by any printer and hence will function smoothly.

If the cartridge is not a 100% compatible cartridge, then some printers may not be able to recognize it and the functioning might be hampered.  That is the main problem with compatible cartridges and faced by many customers.  Hence, they are not really the first choice by most people.  Compatible cartridges can sometimes be even more expensive than either OEM or remanufactured ones.

The main difference between compatible and remanufactured is that compatible is made by assembling new parts where as re manufactured is made by using the already serviced parts.  Remanufactured cartridges uses already serviced parts but go through a battery of tests which ensures supreme quality! Remanufactured cartridges have a fantastic combination of price and quality.  Just because it is cheaper, that does not mean they compromise on quality.  Quality is supreme, but at affordable prices - which is what is most attractive for all customers!

It is thus, essential to make a prudent choice between different cartridges, printers and toners. Remember they are the life line of your organization.  You do not want your work to be hampered.  Visit us at ctcopier.com for more information and excellent customer service.  Our experts will help you make the right decision. You are not alone, we are here for you!

Getting the Best Remanufactured Cartridges

Remanufactured cartridges are used cartridges that are taken back to the factory after use, where they are redesigned for reuse.  They are an inexpensive option to new cartridges, as they give an almost similar quality to new cartridges.  These remanufactured toner cartridges and laser toner cartridges are commonly used, as they are almost as effective as new ink toner cartridges.

They undergo various processes, which fall under the remanufacturing process.  One among the most important processes that cartridges undergo is disassembling, washing and replacement of the broken parts.  The toner too is refilled then packed in new packaging thus, apart from the price and the fact that the cartridge is remanufactured.  The printing quality is almost the same if not better most times, as that of a brand new cartridge.  Remanufactured cartridges are marked thus, this enables buyers distinguish remanufactured cartridges from new cartridges.

The advantage of acquiring remanufactured cartridges is that the buyer saves approximately 50 percent of the price of a new cartridge.  This is also realized on purchase of remanufactured laser toner cartridges since the cartridges are refilled and the laser toners undergo refilling.  They also have remanufactured supplies for photocopiers and fax machines.  With an almost similar quality in output, remanufactured cartridges have the added advantage of having a consumer friendly price tag.

The other advantage of printer cartridge recycling is that when the cartridges are remanufactured, there are fewer disposals, since the used cartridges are recycled in an environment friendly process thus, ensuring that the environment is kept clean.  This process also seeks to avoid landfills, which serve to increase pollution to unprecedented levels.  This thus keeps the environment clean from toxic and lethal chemicals that harm the environment and its users.

The refilled cartridges are tested and have certification that shows that they have met the manufacturer standards and are fit for use with printers.  The performance is also tested and there has been positive feedback from end users of remanufactured cartridges.  This feedback is taken from the users of remanufactured cartridges that have tested the refills fully for a specified period of time and thus certified their quality of use in production, therefore after this testing and certification a majority of the end users can comfortably pledge to the efficacy of these cartridges.

When looking for good remanufactured cartridges, one has to get the cartridges that are compatible to their printer type thus; this is possible through being familiar with the dimensions of the cartridge slot in the printer.  Most of the cartridges are designed in universally standardized dimensions to allow usage with major types of printers hence the size of the cartridge is not such a problem when procuring a remanufactured cartridge.

The size is mainly considered due to the quantity of toner that the cartridge contains.  It is also important to consider the color of the toner that is in the remanufactured cartridge since cartridges have different colors therefore, if the buyer is not careful they could buy the wrong color cartridge.  Most of the cartridges have black color, which is mainly used for many printing processes.

Get Quality Printer Toner Supplies On The Internet

Both hardware and software of computers demand much attention.  Otherwise, they might develop some defect in their functioning.  The printer is one of the main components of the whole computer system, so one needs to use it intelligently as well.  Depending upon the way they work, one can categorize printers in a number of types.  Here, we will discuss the toner based printers and their various supplies.

In very simple terms, printers are the devices that produce a hard copy of the data that is stored in the memory of the computer in the form of files and documents.  There are different types of printers based on the technology they use.  Toner based printers are the first one on the list.  These printers use the principle that is followed in most of the photocopiers, that is, the Xerographic principle. It uses static electricity to make contact between the toner and the printing photo conductive material channel. This contact includes pressure as well as heat.

The laser printer is an example of a toner based printer.  These printers are famous for good quality pictures, speed and low production cost.  Due to all these qualities, they are highly used in offices and homes.  They can produce high quality colored as well as black and white print outs.  Good quality print outs also require quality printer toner supplies and you get them through reputed stores as well as through well known websites.

A toner is a special kind of ink used in laser and LED printers.  It includes a dry powdered substance having an electrical charge.  Due to this feature, it adheres when it comes into the contact with plate or paper which is loaded with opposite polarity.  All printer toners have a cartridge that fills with the powder substance.  When it is finished, it can be refilled again.  Some of the printer toner supplies are cartridges, ink, adherence drum, toner cleaner and other small pieces of equipment.

There are a number of companies that deal with quality printer toner supplies.  Some of them are Canon, Samsung, HP, Dell, Brother and others.  For example, HP provides you with quality printer toner supplies in different numbers.  If you are an e-shopper, you can update yourself with their features by using the number of the item you want.  Their highlights include the resolution they offer in the printouts, the number of pages printed out with one time cartridge refill and their price.

All the reliable brands are registered on the Internet and anyone can easily derive the relevant information by doing an internet search.  Thanks to the number of websites available on the internet right now, users can also compare the prices of different quality printer toner supplies choosing the cheapest one, is not always the best decision.  Beware of those, cause there are a lot of inferior products on the internet that can cause you major repair bills.

Replacing Your Printer Cartridge

No matter how good your printer is there is one thing it will always need to work properly: toner.  The toner in your printer is stored in a specially designed printer cartridge and when the toner runs out this printer cartridge must be replaced.  Printer cartridges can vary widely in price but fortunately you have many options to choose from.

OEM Printer Cartridge
More likely than not when you first purchased your printer it came with a specially designed printer cartridge manufactured by the same company that built your printer.  Every printer is different and thus the cartridge needs will always vary.  Printer cartridges manufactured by the same company as those who built the printer are referred to as OEM or Original Equipment Manufacturer.  Sometimes they are also referred to as Genuine OEM.

There are some advantages to replacing your toner with an OEM printer cartridge.  You will be sure that the cartridge will fit your model printer, as well as be sure of the quality. Unfortunately there is also a heavy price to pay with OEM printer cartridges, as OEM toner is usually fairly expensive.  If price is a concern there are other options as well.

Compatible Printer Cartridge
Your new printer cartridge does not necessarily need to be manufactured by the original printer manufacturer in order to work.  There are several companies out there that specialize in making compatible printer cartridges, that is, cartridges which are compatible with a number of different printer types from different companies.

The main advantage of a compatible printer cartridge is that it will be somewhat cheaper in price.  They can often run for as much as ½ the price of its OEM counterpart.  Most compatible printer cartridges will work just fine with your printer, however in rare instances a compatibility problem might arise.  Generally they are manufactured roughly the same as the original OEM printer cartridge, only it is manufactured by a different company.

Remanufactured Printer Cartridge
The last option for buying a replacement printer cartridge is to buy it remanufactured.  This is something made available by a number of companies in the business of recycling printer cartridges.  They take the old cartridges and rebuild them, as well as replacing the toner. Both OEM and compatible printer cartridges can be recycled and remanufactured, and will vary in price depending on the price of the original cartridge.

Remanufactured printer cartridges are popular not only because they are a cheaper alternative than OEM, but also because they are more environmentally friendly.  It cuts down on the need for new cartridges to be manufactured, as well as cutting down on the number of discarded cartridges taking up space in landfills.

The Final Step

Once you have purchased your replacement printer cartridge (or refilled your old one) it is time to put it back into your printer. Most printers will have instructions printed right on them for how to replace the printer cartridge, or you might need to consult the manual. Once your new cartridge is in you are ready to start printing again!

What to Look for in a Printer Copier Combination

What Do I Need in a Printer Copier?

This can be a difficult decision to make because you need to know things like workloads, and duty cycles.  You can learn all about these things by turning and going to the internet and doing some research on printer copier machines.  It's important to learn how a printer copier will work and how it can benefit you.

Once you know the employees in the workplace or how the company will use the new office equipment, you can begin to compare specs between different brands on the internet.  It's always a good idea to compare a few different brands at the same time to get an idea of prices and features they offer.

What you should look for is a brand that stays within your budget and will also get you all of the features you want.  Also make sure it performs the way you need it to.  If you have a fifty cent budget, don't expect anything high quality.  Your best bet is to wait until your budget is a bit higher to ensure you get a better printer copier.

Network Ready
Is your printer copier going to be used by more than one person in the office?  The best way to achieve this goal is to put the machine on your local area network, and give access to the people who use it the most.  This solves the problem of having people leave their work area constantly to print, or copy items.

Wherever you choose to buy your printer copier, be sure to ask about ease of installation on your network.  You don't need your network people taking all day trying to figure out a complicated setup for a new piece of equipment.  This takes away valuable time of your network technicians.

Space Saver
Typically the multifunction units are quite compact when compared to other office equipment.  They can normally be setup in a small cubical, or storage space.  This makes them ideal for small work places.  They can usually sit on a desk or a shelf.  They aren’t big pieces of equipment and don’t require a lot of space.

Fewer parts breaking means they will save you time when it comes to repairing them.  This will save your company some money and every company, owner or boss likes to hear the words “money saver”.  If your office isn't a place that will demand anything extreme out of this equipment, it will do everything you need it to.

All You Need to Know About Inkjet and Laser Printers

Planning on buying a printer but wondering which printing technology is right for you?  Then read on.

What's important here is what purpose you will use this printer for.  Will you print frequently or occasionally?  Is black and white printing sufficient for you or will you also print colors and possibly photos?  First you need to decide if you should get an inkjet printer or a laser printer.  Let's look at the features of these two printing technologies.

Inkjet Printers can be categorized as 3-color inkjet printers, 4-color inkjets and photo printing inkjet printers.  The 4-color inkjet printers are the most popular ones in the printing industry.
4-color Inkjet Printers usually hold two ink cartridges (one for black and one for color).  Some hold two additional ink cartridges to separate the colors and have one ink cartridge for each color (black, cyan, magenta and yellow).

3-color Inkjet Printers are usually equivalent to the low-end 4 color inkjet printers with the exception of holding only one ink cartridge at a time.  So you need to switch the ink cartridge to change between black and color.  The 3-color inkjet printers are no longer popular as the 4-color inkjet printer prices are continually dropping.

The photo printing inkjet printers are a bit more complicated than the first two.  Many of the 4-color inkjets print photos with good quality and most photo printing inkjets carry the same features as 4-color inkjets with just a few special photo printing features added such as directly printing from the digital camera.  Most of the photo printing inkjets use additional colors such as light cyan light magenta, green, and red to provide true photographic quality outputs.

Laser Printers have two different technologies for black & white (monochrome) and color printing. Among the laser printers, monochrome laser printers are the most popular ones in the industry. Generally, laser printers are faster than inkjet printers.  Laser printers are quite popular as they offer fast printing, good print quality and low cost per page.  They use toner cartridges instead of ink cartridges found in inkjet printers.

Whether it's for home offices, businesses or home users, I can say that Monochrome Laser Printers offer the best balance between print quality, price and speed.  With their prices dropping down to around $200-$400 (personal laser printer) they start to become a good alternative to inkjet printers.  As monochrome laser printers' toner cartridges cost less, they are less expensive to maintain. However if you print color, you may want to go for an inkjet printer.

Color Laser Printers are generally designed for offices where a lot of graphics or photographs are being printed.  If you are a home user, probably you will not need a color laser printer.  The high-end laser printers are capable of printing good quality photographs but still none can reach the true photo quality of high-end inkjet printers.

Once you choose between monochrome and color laser printer, you can decide whether you need a personal or workgroup laser.

Personal Laser printers are suitable for text and simple graphics. Most of the personal lasers in the market are monochrome laser printers; because of their high prices, the color laser printers were not attracting personal users.  As some models with prices less than $1,000 have been released, color laser printers are likely to be more popular among personal users too.

Small to Medium Workgroup Lasers are designed for small offices or workgroups within large firms. In addition to the standard features, they have specific features designed for multiple users such as larger input and output trays, duplex (double-sided) printing, sorting, and stapling.  They support printing over networks (standard or optional).  They also have fast processors and more memory which enables them to handle multiple tasks at good speed.  Most of the workgroup laser printers are monochrome.

Whichever type of printer you choose, be sure to get one that has features you will actually use.  Do not overpay for a printer with excessive features you are never likely to use.

Call 847-398-5212, Printer Fuser Units - New Versus Refurbished

Laser printer supplies and replacement parts prices can be very expensive, so to save us money some very resourceful people have come up with an alternative to buying new fusers.

Fuser Units
A fuser unit is the part in a laser printer that creates pressure and heat to fuse toner to the paper.  Not all of the parts go bad in the whole assembly when they wear out.  The main part that wears out is the upper heat roller or the heat sleeve.  The coating wears off and causes the toner to not fuse properly. There are replacement rollers and sleeves on the market that you can replace and turn a non-functional fuser into a good working one.

Rebuilding fuser assemblies is not a new thing.  Copier technicians have been doing it for years since the first office copier was created.  When the fuser wears on any copier they replace certain parts some of which are, the upper heat roller, lower heat roller, bearings, picker fingers, thermistors, drive gears and more.  The printer industry has a different approach in that they replace everything as an assembly. People are accustomed to this and when they need a replacement fuser they opt for a new one many times.  I believe it is a mind set.  A copier service person would look at it as a waste of money.  Why buy a new one when you can buy the replacement parts for a fraction of the cost and install them and make it as good as new.  You must be cautious when purchasing replacement parts because there are some replacement parts that are subpar, so finding a good parts source is imperative.

Refurbished Fusers
The Pros are:  1.) Cost much less than a new assembly.
                          2.) Comes with a warranty.
The Cons are:  1.) Higher defect rate if you don't find a quality manufacturer.

New Original Fusers
The Pros are:   1.) You know for sure that what you are getting is as good as there is.
                          2.) Comes with a warranty.
The Cons are:  1.) Cost is much higher than a refurbished fuser.
2.) These too can be defective out of the box.

I have replaced many fusers and believe that using refurbished fusers is the way to go.  It will not harm the machine and I have seen refurbished fusers last longer than new fusers.  You will save money and don't forget about the recycling aspect.  There could be tons of old fuser cores in the land fills if it wasn't for refurbished fusers.

The pros out way the cons when it comes to refurbished fuser units.  It is critical that you find quality refurbished fusers with a good warranty and you will save a lot of money while helping keep our landfills from filling up with old fuser units.
